The GFCI 20A Receptacle Kit includes everything you need to install a receptacle outlet on your own. No more going back and forth to the store to find all the pieces, because we’ve bundled all the necessary parts into one simple kit.
A ground fault circuit interrupter, or GFCI for short, is meant to quickly shut off an outlet’s power when it detects a short circuit or ground fault. A GFCI outlet kills power before the current can remotely escape from these outlets and are likely to be found places with nearby water sources, like the bathroom or kitchen. Although GFCI outlets are typically more expensive, the protection they offer in places near water is worth it.
